Powell County Ambulance Service was established on July 1, 2001.  We are licensed by the state to run 5 ambulances, 2 of which are advance life support units.  We are located in the center of Powell County in the city of Stanton and serve all of Powell County.  Our nearest hospitals are Clark Regional in Winchester, Mary Chiles in Mt. Sterling, Marcum and Wallace in Irvine, and Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson.

Our staff is trained for all emergency medical situations, and training is completed in-house to keep staff up-to-date on all of the latest advances.  Our emergency and non-emergency ambulance runs combined are consistently around 3800 runs per year.  The ambulance service is staffed with personnel 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Our ambulance service offers both emergency and non-emergency transportation to the citizens of Powell County.  In addition we also offer Advanced Life Support (ALS) as well as Basic Life Support (BLS) services.  We also offer CPR classes and basic first aid training to the public.

When you receive a bill, the name and address of the billing service
should be on the bill along with the phone numbers if you have any questions.

If you need non-emergency transport, please call (606) 663-0376, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
